During Eurosport’s live coverage of Juventus’s final home game, against Manchester City on Wednesday night, one player likely to catch the eye is Juve’s natural-born goal scorer Stefano Padovan.

The 18-year-old striker opened his NextGen campaign with two goals against Fenerbahcè in August, (click here for the match highlights) and followed this with a convincing display in his side’s 2 – 0 victory over Paris St. Germain.

The 1.86m tall striker is strong in the air whilst also gifted with a great touch, a combination that makes him an ideal target man and lethal goal-scorer. A further double after coming off the bench against FC Genoa in his last Campionato Primavera match means he comes into this match in fine form.

He has not only been prolific for his club this season, but also his country, having netted a brace in Italy’s U19 European Championship qualifier against Albania earlier this month. Last season he totted up an impressive tally of three in five games for his country at under-18 level.

Juventus currently sit second in their group, level on points with Man City, (click here for the group table) making this a vital game between two evenly matched sides. The difference may be a stand-out performance from a talent such as this young Turin-born striker.
