Vital games on Wednesday night

Back
Internazionale vs Borussia Dortmund

RSC Anderlecht vs Tottenham Hotspur
Juventus vs Manchester City
Molde FK vs Chelsea
Borussia Dortmund vs Liverpool
Rosenborg BK vs Internazionale

Tuesday’s 2 – 0 victory for PFCK CSKA over Ajax in Moscow has put the Russian side in a strong position; 6 points clear at the top of Group 3. It does however leave last year’s runners up likely to battle it out with Chelsea for the second qualifying position.

They will be watching anxiously as Chelsea compete against Molde, in one of Wednesday’s five matches. Victory would draw the English side level with Ajax on points, (click here for the group table), making for a dramatic second half to the group stage where they will play each other twice.

Elsewhere Tottenham are travelling to Brussels to take on Anderlecht, who need points to maintain realistic hopes of qualifying.  Though facing a strong Spurs team, this is by no means a feat beyond the Belgian side; who are the only side to have taken points off Barcelona this season. Eurosport will cover Manchester City’s trip to the Stadio Giuseppe Moccagatta, as Attilio Lombardo returns with his young side hopeful of victory against past employer Juventus. With both teams sitting in joint second, victory for either would leave them topping Group 3. (For more build up to this match click here.)

A busy night also sees last year’s champions, Internazionale, in Norway playing 2nd placed Rosenborg. Both are yet to drop points this season and have kept perfect records with some mature and professional performances.

In contrast the bottom of their group, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, go head to head in Germany in search of their first points of the campaign. Each have something to prove as with the wealth of talent in the squads both would hope to qualify.

Juventus vs Manchester City is shown live on Eurosport, kick-off 19:00 local time, (18:00 G.M.T). For live updates of all Wednesday’s matches click here.
