Borussia Dortmund

Having won 8 German Championships, 4 German Supercups, the UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup and the Champions League amongst others, Borusssia Dortmund are one of the most successful teams in Europe. Often known as ‘Die Schwarzgelben', due to their famous black and yellow club colours, they play in the largest stadium in Germany, Signul Iduna Park. The intensity, volume and atmosphere here make it a unique experience, and in 2009 it was voted the World’s Best Football Stadium by the London Times.

The most important part of the club however, is the fans. On average, 77,000 people flock to every home game, with 53,000 of those having a season ticket. Even at away games, yellow and black masses of fans characterise the city. This enormous attraction shows: for many fans, the BVB is more than just a hobby, for them, the BVB is family and home. With their unconditional loyalty, they have accompanied the club for over 100 years through moments of glory as well as crises.

The BVB is deeply rooted in its hometown, Dortmund, and the Westphalian culture - straightforwardness, honesty, a serious demeanour, and an unrelenting fighting spirit. With these attributes Borussia Dortmund have excelled in Germany and can now boast a fantastic international reputation.
