Olympiacos

Olympiacos FC focuses a great deal on the operation and development of its Football Academy. This is driven by the philosophy to form the character and competitive behavior of young players, based on the “fair play” principle, the sport’s and the Club’s values, whilst providing the opportunity to showcase their talent and gain promotion to the first team.

In 2000, Olympiacos FC set up a growing network of over 40 Schools of Football throughout Greece, Cyprus and Australia. These were then unified with the Academy in 2001 while under the presidency of Mr. Evangelos Marinakis.

The aim of the unification was to upgrade the cooperation of the Schools of Football with the Academy through the adoption of a single vision and operation philosophy, the application of a single education, training and evaluation system and the promotion of the young talented football players, in Greece and abroad.

Excited to compete in the NextGen series, the Olympiacos FC youth team enters the tournament ready and determined to challenge some of the finest clubs in Europe.
